Black Rhino Game Lodge, Pilanesberg Game Reserve

Black Rhino Game Lodge

Black Rhino Game Lodge is a hidden treasure set within a Tamboti forest at the foot of an ancient volcanic crater within the 58 000 ha Pilanesberg National Park. This area has become renowned as one of South Africa’s most exciting big five eco-tourism destinations. A mere 33 km from Sun City this ‘Malaria Free’ safari destination is within easy reach of Gauteng and the Johannesburg International Airport.
An ideal family retreat, Black Rhino Game Lodge boasts 23 spacious luxury suites, which will ensure our guests of comfort and style. Each air-conditioned suite offers television, tea and coffee making facilities and expansive bathrooms including an outdoor shower. Our private game viewing decks are the perfect spot to enjoy the tranquillity and excellent birding opportunities.

Overlooking a busy waterhole, which is a hive of bird and animal activity and a favourite playground for elephant and buffalo, the central gathering area is an expansive space which invites the opportunity of outdoor living.

The well appointed open plan lounge and dining areas spill over onto shady timber decks which offer guests wonderful areas for relaxation and game viewing.

Africa has an age-old rhythm that is experienced through the hospitality of its people. Experienced game rangers and a team of energetic hosts will welcome guests in their journey of discovery. Open vehicle safaris through this picturesque game reserve combined with moments of magic at the fireside whilst enjoying a starlit dinner will delight guests. A visit to this special corner of Africa will remain in many fond memories.
